Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Shopify themes, custom apps, and integrations with payment and subscription systems.
- Write clean and maintainable code, automate manual tasks, and write comprehensive unit tests to ensure high code quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and develop scalable and robust solutions.
- Create clear and concise design and architecture documents that articulate the problem and proposed solutions.
- Stay updated on the latest Shopify developments, best practices, and trends, and incorporate them into our projects.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of development processes and standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10 years of experience in software development, preferably with a focus on Shopify development or an equivalent eCommerce product
- Strong programming skills and a proven ability to write clean, maintainable code.
- Experience in Shopify theme development, custom app development, and integration with payment and subscription systems.
- Ability to automate manual tasks and write comprehensive unit tests.
- Experience writing clear design and architecture documents.
- Knowledge of AWS services and infrastructure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and Agile development methodologies is a plus.
